This communication is being sent to Madison Readiness Leads, Madison Technical Coaches, and Manifest group administrators (aka owners) for groups using data-driven UDDS groups to define membership.
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to send important updates regarding Manifest/Grouper as it relates to Ancillary Systems for the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) and Workday implementation. This information will allow administrators of Manifest groups that use UDDS data-driven groups to begin planning for the transition to Workday data-driven groups. Manifest group administrators are also referred to as Manifest group owners.
To do
Manifest group owners for groups using data-driven UDDS groups should:
- Confirm that your Manifest groups utilizing UDDS data-driven groups are still in use. This step is critical to ensure Identity Access Management (IAM) understands what is active and that you receive continued communication to support the transition away from UDDS.
- Provide feedback in this sheet using the instructions under the “Directions” tab: Manifest Groups using UDDS_Shared
- Please complete this by July 18, 2024
- This will take approximately 5 minutes per Manifest group.
- If your group(s) have multiple group owners, start discussing allocation of work and who will be responsible for:
- Testing “replacement” Workday groups when they become available
- Replying to inquiries and reviewing materials from IAM
- Collaborating with stakeholders as needed
- Review the May 13 Presentation “Identity and Access Management (IAM): Grouper and Manifest” https://secure.atp.wisconsin.edu/tech-curriculum/
- Review UDDS Transitioning to Supervisory Organization and Cost Center and evaluate known changes:
- Understand how your system is leveraging UDDS and consider if Supervisory Organization or Cost Center is more appropriate for your needs.
- This includes accommodating differences in how those structures behave.
- Note: IAM cannot make this decision for you because IAM cannot know the function of every application and every Manifest group. This is a business process decision that must be made by the Manifest group owner(s).
- Understand how your system is leveraging UDDS and consider if Supervisory Organization or Cost Center is more appropriate for your needs.
To know
UDDS Transitioning to Supervisory Organization and Cost Center has been published on the ERP Ancillary Systems Program website. Highlights include:
