This communication is being sent to contacts for systems that receive wiscEduHRSEmplid via NetID Login.
Dear Colleagues,
As a contact for a system that uses NetID Login to consume EMPLID data via the wiscEduHRSEmplid attribute release, you will need to update your system by July 1, 2025 to consume Workday Worker ID via the eduWisconsinWorkdayWorkerID attribute release.
The eduWisconsinWorkdayWorkerID attribute has been released to your system and you should update your system to consume it now. For existing employees, the HRS EMPLID is the same as their Workday Worker ID. Therefore, the eduWisconsinWorkdayWorkerID attribute is currently delivering the HRS value of EMPLID. This allows you to make this change now without impacting your application.
To do now
- Search (CTRL + F) NetID Login EMPLID to Workday Worker ID under the “EMPLID” tab for your name/email address and system names to identify all systems you have been associated with.
- Update your system to consume the eduWisconsinWorkdayWorkerID attribute release by 7/1/2025.
- If you are no longer the correct contact for an Entity ID, please reply to this email with the impacted Entity ID(s) and, if possible, a replacement contact.
- Update Columns G – I of NetID Login EMPLID to Workday Worker ID.
To know
- As we transition from the Human Resource System (HRS) to Workday, HRS EMPLID will be replaced with Workday Worker ID as the unique identifier.
- After go-live, new employees entered into Workday will not have an HRS EMPLID and therefore won’t have a wiscEduHRSEmplid value.
- If you wait until after go-live to switch to eduWisconsinWorkdayWorkerID, your system will not receive accurate data for new employees.
- Systems will stop receiving wiscEduHRSEmplid data via NetID Login on August 4, 2025.
- Future dated employees, some emeritus, and some retirees with IT services will not have a Workday Worker ID at go-live. This is a known cutover issue.
- HR professionals will be manually adding data in Workday from July 7 to July 31, 2025, for future dated employees, some emeritus, and some retiree with IT services.
- Please review IAM Cutover Dates & Support to stay up to date on IAM cutover dates.
