Action Needed by May 9: Manifest Groups using UDDS

This communication is being sent to Manifest group administrators (aka owners) for groups using data-driven UDDS groups.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to share directions and information that will support you (a Manifest group owner) in transitioning a Manifest group from using UDDS to a Workday Organization.

To Do Now

• Review the Manifest Groups Using UDDS Transition to Workday Organizations (Directions)
• Complete steps 1 through 3 by Friday, May 9, 2025
  • Step 1: Review your Manifest groups & information
  • Step 2: Determine the Workday Org(s) needed for your Manifest group
  • Step 3: Update Manifest & report your status
• Complete Step 4: Reevaluate closer to go live

To Know

• The Manifest groups using UDDS_shared outlines each Manifest group that must transition from UDDS to a Workday Organization, the correlating Manifest group owner(s), and additional information to support Manifest group owners.
• To avoid access issues, the UDDS group in each Manifest group cannot be removed until after Workday goes live.
• Human Resources and Finance leads have assigned Workday Organizations to individuals and are responsible for any updates needed to an individual’s assigned Workday Organization.
  • IAM was not involved in assigning a Workday Organization to individuals and isn’t able to address questions or concerns.
• The IAM team has:
  • Made the Supervisory Organization, Cost Center, and Cost Center Hierarchy (CCH) via UW Organization Structure (UWOS) data groups available in Manifest production without membership information.
  • Identified the Workday Organization with the highest membership overlap as of April 8, 2025 for each UDDS and added that Workday Organization to the Manifest groups in production.
    • There will not be any membership data for Workday Organizations in Manifest production yet. This allows us to add the Workday Organizations to each Manifest group ahead of Workday go live without granting access to additional populations.
    • Because the HR and Finance leads continue to adjust Workday Organization assignments for individuals, what has been identified added to each Manifest group may no longer be the Workday Organization with the highest overlap percent. You can and should make changes as needed.
    • This was completed for Manifest groups created before March 31. If you created a Manifest group this month, you must add a Workday Organization to your Manifest group.
