This communication is being sent to Manifest group administrators (aka owners) for groups using data-driven UDDS groups.
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share information that will allow Manifest group administrators to plan for the transition from UDDS to Workday data-driven groups using either Cost Center or Supervisory Org Hierarchy.
Recommended Action Items
- Step 1: Review new information from ATP on Supervisory Organizations and Cost Center
- Review updated information from ATP on UDDS Guidance for Ancillary Systems
- Review the attached email “ATP Integrations | Workday Organizations Realignment and UDDS Guidance Updates.”
- Cost Center and Sup Orgs Tableau Dashboard (VPN required): Provides a view into how these organizations are structured in Workday. This data is sourced from a Workday tenant populated by data conversion from a production snapshot that was taken in mid-March, 2024.
- Attend ATP Office Hours on October 15 to ask questions about these updates.
- ATP will only hold this office hours if sufficient questions have been received via the ATP Integrations Contact Form by the end of the day on Thursday, October 10. If you do not have this meeting on your calendar, please work with your assigned Readiness Project Manager or Technical Coach to have the meeting forwarded.
- Step 2: Understand the UDDS groups you are using
- Review data-driven UDDS groups you are using: Manifest Groups using UDDS_Shared
- Note: Manifest Groups using UDDS_Shared was initially introduced to you via the email Feedback Needed: Manifest Groups using UDDS.
- Step 3: Identify the Supervisory Organization and/or Cost Center you will use to replace the UDDS groups you are currently using.
- Use the resources in step 1 and step 2 above.
- [Optional] Track the supervisory organization(s) and/ or cost center(s) that you will use to replace the UDDS groups used in your Manifest group using the optional columns in Manifest Groups using UDDS_Shared.
- Because there is not a one-to-one mapping between UDDS and supervisory organization or cost center, Manifest group owners are responsible for determining which supervisory organization(s) and/ or cost center(s) will replace the currently used UDDS groups leveraged by their Manifest groups.
- Although ATP continues to refine and build out supervisory organizations and cost centers, Manifest group owners should start engaging with this analysis now to ensure they can take advantage of opportunities to ask questions.
Next Steps:
- The IAM Team will email Manifest group owners directly as additional information becomes available. This includes details on how Manifest group owners will update their manifest groups, how to use our test environment to see Supervisory Organizations and Cost Center memberships, change process, introduction of Workday data-driven replacement groups, and transition planning.
- In Manifest, group owners will add the appropriate supervisory organization(s) and/ or cost center(s) to their Manifest groups that are using data-driven UDDS groups.
